Newest Hawai'i Import? GeekCraft Expo!

What do you get when you cross a Blaisdell craft fair with a Comic Con at the Hawaii Convention Center? GeekCraft Expo!

For the past few years, we've been travelling around the mainland launching GeekCraft Expo shows, where each pop-up shopping event offers handcrafted geeky goods made by local people. Later this year we will be hosting the first annual Hawaii show, which is now our new home. Well, new to co-founder Daniel Way (you may know him from writing comics like Deadpool & Wolverine), and a return home for co-founder Kim Matsuzaki (who worked on the mainland for video game company Ubisoft, who creates games such as Assassin's Creed and Tom Clancy titles).

We are so excited to launch our new home show and offer the best geeky crafters under one roof for you to shop from! When you ask someone, "Where did you get that?", a common answer is, "My aunty made it" or "My friend's husband's hanai cousin made it. Here's his Instagram!" If you, or someone you know makes an awesome craft of a geeky nature, applications are now being accepted for the Hawaii show in October.

If you don't have a crafty bone in your body but want to shop handmade geek goods and support local crafters, join the GCE Hawaii Facebook page for geek news, exhibitor announcements and other posts (memes!) leading up the show. And tell your neighbor! And co-worker! And your SUP buddies!

Oh, and I forgot to mention one thing: GeekCraft Expo Hawaii is FREE to attend, as long as you pre-register on Eventbrite. Can't get any more pake than FREE!
